Forged Steel and Blown Glass
H 18” x W 16” x L 28” free standing
This form works to embody the weightless grace that steel can process in the hands of a blacksmith. The fish form is caught in the act of moving threw space with little resistance from the water or gravity. As in many of my animal pieces I choice subjects that have strong visual and physical form but move with balance and grace. This piece is also an example of the combination of steel and glass. The large opening in the front gives the viewer a look into the inside of the glass form to see how the process of blowing the glass into the metal effects the form.
